About

This mapping work is projected onto Moscow Luzhniki Stadium. A 70-year-old architectural landmark, the venue stands not only as a world-class sports temple but also as a vessel for humanity`s collective emotions. Its circular silhouette resembles a giant antenna, transmitting the pulse of human civilisation out into the cosmos. Inspired by Liu Cixin`s sci-fi masterpiece The Three-Body Problem, we adopt "Stellar Flicker" as our core imagery. Stripping away the original narrative of conflict, we reinterpret it as gentle resonant signals exchanged between interstellar civilisations. Constrained by the facade segmented by vertical columns, we reject photorealistic visuals in favour of an abstract visual language. Drawing on the stadium`s inherent circular form, we construct the full narrative using light pulses, particles and spreading ripples. Divided into eight chapters, the piece unfolds from the serene equilibrium of the universe, progressing through tremor, synchronicity, surge, convergence and turbulent collision, before resolving into echo and eternity. Light flows along the building`s textures rather than merely overlaying its surface. This mapping-art piece presents a poetic vision of distant civilisations responding to one another across time and space and coexisting in harmony. Centred on dialogue between civilisations through rhythmic light, it leverages grand cosmic aesthetics to explore how no distance can block inter-civilisation exchange, and interprets the timeless theme of resonance and connection among diverse civilisations.
