Centered on Ruiguang Pagoda, this Mapping work unfolds its narrative in four chapters. "Construction and Building" restores the pagoda`s construction process through dynamic visuals, disassembles its craftsmanship details, and highlights the ingenuity of the Song Dynasty. "Mapping Art" employs light animation and image superimposition to interpret the sacred aura and inherited beliefs brought by the Buddha`s relics enshrined in the pagoda. "Clouds and Water" uses particle and ripple effects to connect the symbiotic relationship between the pagoda and Suzhou, a water town, integrating intangible cultural heritage elements such as Su embroidery, Su fans, and Kunqu opera to fully display an Oriental artistic conception. "Wind and Spirit" presents the pagoda`s resilience through intense visual impacts and rebirth scenes, showing how it stands firm after thousands of years of trials. With Mapping as its expression language, the work links architectural wisdom, sacred beliefs, the symbiosis of the pagoda and the city, and perseverance through time, allowing the historical heritage and spiritual value of Ruiguang Pagoda to flow in mapping art.
