Yangzhou - Poem

This piece is set within a 500-square-meter, 7.5-meter-high immersive light and shadow space at Tianning Temple in Yangzhou, presenting a vivid 22-minute showcase of the glorious history of Tang Dynasty poetry. The journey begins with the poetic awakening of the early Tang, reaches its zenith in the flourishing High Tang, and moves through the diverse expressions of the Middle and Late Tang periods. The tranquil beauty of pastoral poetry and the bold grandeur of frontier verse intertwine, while the works of poets like Li Bai, Du Fu, and Wang Wei are brought to life, immersing the audience in the rich poetic world of the Tang era. Through dynamic visuals, animated text, and mesmerising light effects, the show captures the essence of Tang poetry—every word a jewel—and creates an experience that is both visually and emotionally immersive. It culminates with the successful compilation of *The Complete Tang Poems* and Emperor Kangxi's praise of its cultural significance, symbolising the enduring influence of Tang poetry on Chinese civilisation.
