In 2019 we were invited to participate in the Macao Light Festival, creating the mapping artwork Little Snowflake’s Adventure to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Macao’s return to China. The theme of the piece was A Gift of Snow for Macao, designed to bring a unique visual experience of snow to a city where snowfall is rare. More than a light show, it was a heartfelt tribute to the 20th anniversary of Macao’s return.We selected 20 classic memories of Macao and expressed them in an innovative way. Unlike traditional mapping works that directly reproduce objects, this piece combined these elements with modern art, reinterpreting what may have become fixed city images with unique visual language. Through mapping technology, these memories were given new life and energy, offering audiences a refreshing visual experience. The artwork became a highlight of the festival, enriching and expanding the IP of the Macao Light Festival. Through this imaginative snow filled light installation, we hoped to deliver a beautiful experience for both Macao residents and visitors while sending our best wishes for the city’s future development.
