About

This artwork won second place in the Modern Group of the Mapping Competition at the 2017 Moscow Light Festival and was performed on the façade of the Mariinsky Theatre. The creative concept centers on light, treating it as both a symbol of human civilization and spirit. Light is not only a carrier of vision but also a metaphor for knowledge and truth. In the piece, we used strong contrasts of black and white and abstract geometric lines to express the power of light penetrating architectural structures, as if revealing the life pulse hidden behind the heavy historical façade. Flickering particles, fractured forms, and wandering beams of light interwove continuously, creating a tension that shifted between order and chaos, symbolizing the ability of light to break boundaries and reshape space. As the rhythm advanced, light became a flowing language, growing within the architectural texture of the theatre. At times cold and restrained, at times fervent and unbound, it immersed the audience in an atmosphere where they could feel the purity and strength carried by light.
