About
During the 2020 Chongqing Sleepless Life Festival, we created a distinctive mapping light show Cyber Chongqing in Jiefangbei, the core district of Yuzhong in Chongqing. This artwork is based on a cyberpunk aesthetic, merging Chongqing’s unique urban elements with futuristic technology to produce a feast for both the eyes and the senses.We selected iconic cultural symbols of Chongqing—such as the metro passing through buildings, the mountain city’s layered architecture, and the winding Yangtze River—and presented them through light and animation, creating a cyber world that is at once real and dreamlike. The creative vision not only highlights Chongqing’s deep history and cultural heritage but also conveys the city’s boundless vitality and spirit of innovation through the lens of contemporary art.As light and shadow flow across the urban landscape, audiences experience the unique charm of Chongqing, as though they were immersed in a dreamlike metropolis where the future and reality intertwine. Our goal was to inspire a renewed appreciation and love for Chongqing’s culture, making this show a highlight of the festival and further enriching the city’s image and cultural identity.
